Opportunities are now available for those interested in joining the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government. Openings include a role on the Hearings Board and five vacancies on the Human Relations Commission. Additional positions can be found on the ACCGov website.
Current members can reapply as their term ends, provided they meet the necessary criteria.
Applications for these roles must be submitted by Friday, August 7th. The Mayor and Commission plan to conduct applicant interviews on Monday, August 24th.
It’s important to note that all applicants must be residents of Athens-Clarke County to qualify for these positions.
The appointment of new members is tentatively scheduled to occur during the Mayor and Commission’s regular session on Tuesday, September 1st.
