A New Voice in Poetry: Amanda Dzimianski Takes the Stage in Athens-Clarke County
In a celebrated move to enrich its cultural landscape, Athens-Clarke County has announced Amanda Dzimianski as its poet laureate for a five-year term, extending through 2028. A native of Georgia, Dzimianski brings her passion for poetry to the community, aiming to engage and inspire local residents with her craft.
In her new role, Dzimianski is set to host a community open mic event, providing a platform for poets and enthusiasts alike to share their work. This event is scheduled for April 19th from 3-5 pm at the Athens-Clarke County Library.
