Police Officer in Florida Performs Heroic Dog Rescue from Hot Car

A heartwarming tale unfolded recently in Bradenton, Florida when a quick-thinking police officer saved a dog trapped in a hot car.
Sgt. Bordin of the Bradenton Police Department became the local hero as he rescued the distressed dog left in the sweltering car on a scorching Florida summer day.

On the day of the rescue, the heat index outside was hovering around a searing 98 degrees, causing the conditions inside the car to be even more perilous. After hearing the dog’s distressing cries from within the car, Sgt. Bordin knew he had to act swiftly.
“Hang in there, buddy. I’m going to get you out,” Sgt. Bordin was heard reassuring the panicking dog, before breaking a window to free the animal.
The dog, showing unmistakable symptoms of heat exhaustion, gratefully drank a liter of water provided by the officer after being rescued. Following the dramatic rescue, the canine was taken for a comprehensive medical check-up to ensure her health. Despite finding the dog’s owner, the dog remains in the custody of animal services while the incident is under investigation.
