UGA Miracle Raises Significant Funds for Children’s Healthcare
In an inspiring display of community spirit, the University of Georgia’s student-led organization, UGA Miracle, successfully raised over a million dollars to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This impressive fundraising effort was part of their 31st annual Dance Marathon held on March 28th.
The event, which extended over 13.5 hours, saw participation from more than 2,000 individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and local community members. Attendees engaged in various activities such as silent discos, live performances, and group games, all contributing to the lively atmosphere.
Record-Breaking Donations
By the end of the event, UGA Miracle had raised in excess of $1.4 million. These proceeds are designated for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, reflecting the organization’s commitment to supporting pediatric healthcare.
UGA Miracle, entirely managed by students, is renowned for its philanthropic endeavors. While they conduct fundraising activities throughout the year, the Dance Marathon stands out as their largest and most impactful event.
