Renown Health Joins Prestigious Pediatric Network
Renown Health has taken a significant step in pediatric healthcare by becoming part of the Golisano Children’s Alliance. This alliance unites 21 children’s hospitals across the nation to enhance medical care for children.
The initiative is spearheaded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Tom Golisano, who has contributed an impressive $40 million to facilitate the construction of a new children’s hospital at Renown and to broaden the scope of pediatric services. “As a father and grandfather, I’ve seen firsthand what it means for a family to have a great children’s hospital close to home in a difficult moment,” Golisano expressed in a press release. “My hope is that no family, no matter where they live or what they can afford, has to travel far or wonder if their child will get the best care available.”
Renown Health currently provides pediatric services within its Regional Medical Center, boasting northern Nevada’s sole dedicated children’s emergency room and the region’s only Level II pediatric trauma center. This affiliation with the Golisano Children’s Alliance is expected to further enhance its capabilities and resources.
