Kate’s Club Hosts Annual Memory Walk This November
Mark your calendars for a heartfelt event this November as Kate’s Club, a nonprofit organization, prepares to host its 2025 Memory Walk. Scheduled for Sunday, November 9th, this event offers a unique opportunity for the bereaved to come together and find solace in shared experiences.
Kate’s Club is dedicated to supporting young individuals who have faced the loss of a close family member. The Childhood Bereavement Estimation Model highlights the gravity of this issue, indicating that 1 in 10 children in Georgia will endure the death of a parent or sibling before turning 18.
William Perry, the Development Manager at Kate’s Club, emphasizes that the Memory Walk transcends mere remembrance. He states, “We have an opportunity for the grieving community to come out, not only to honor the person they’ve lost, but also to show others that they are not grieving alone.”
This year’s event will be held at Thomas Farm Preserve in Watkinsville, from 1 to 4 pm on November 9th. Participants can look forward to a supportive environment where they can honor their loved ones and connect with others facing similar challenges.
