Find Your Perfect Pet Companion at the Upcoming Athens Adoption Event
This weekend, Athens-Clarke County Animal Services is hosting a special opportunity for you to meet your potential new pet. The Fall Adoption Event is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the county shelter, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA 30605.
Prospective pet owners can visit the shelter without an appointment to consult with volunteer counselors. These counselors are ready to assist in matching attendees with pets suitable for fostering or adoption.
Every cat and dog available for adoption comes with essential care services, including spaying or neutering, microchipping, basic deworming, and age-appropriate rabies vaccinations. Additional tests and vaccines are also provided to ensure the well-being of the animals.
The shelter advises attendees to bring along any household members or other dogs that the new pet will live with, ensuring that any canine visitors wear a current rabies tag.
