Colin Gray Trial: GBI Agent Testifies on School Shooting Evidence

Testimony continues in trial of Colin Gray

Investigation Insights on the Apalachee High School Shooting Case

As the trial of Colin Gray progresses, the courtroom was presented with detailed accounts from law enforcement regarding the tragic events at Apalachee High School in September 2024.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Daniella Stuart, who played a pivotal role in documenting the crime scene, appeared in court. Her extensive work included over 1,000 photographs and multiple scans, capturing critical details of the scene. Stuart provided insights into the video evidence shown during the trial.

“So we get to the end of J hallway, it will turn toward that last classroom on the left side of the hallway because in the video it appears almost like he looked into that classroom,” Stuart stated. “I don’t know if he was attempting to go in, but he looked in that classroom and then he turns around, points back down J hall. That’s where he shoots Mason [Schermerhorn] and then turns and points the gun at a kid that is down K hall and almost in that same moment, law enforcement is making contact with him.”

Prosecutors argue that Colin Gray provided his son, Colt Gray, with the firearm used in the incident. The charges against Colin Gray include 29 counts, such as second-degree murder, involuntary homicide, and second-degree cruelty to children.

The shooting resulted in four fatalities and left nine others injured, marking a devastating day for the community.
