The University of Georgia celebrated a significant milestone as over 3,200 students completed their academic journey and joined the ranks of its alumni. The commencement events were held on Friday at the Stegeman Coliseum, beginning with the undergraduate ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by the graduate ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
Inspiring words marked the undergraduate ceremony as Doug Ivester, former chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company, addressed the new graduates. At the subsequent graduate ceremony, Ron Walcott, who serves as the provost for graduate education and dean of the graduate school, delivered the keynote speech.
