Recognizing a Legacy: T. Rogers Wade Honored with 2025 Dooley Award
The University of Georgia (UGA) Libraries will honor alumnus and civic leader T. Rogers Wade with the prestigious 2025 Dooley Friends of the UGA Libraries Award. This accolade celebrates the enduring philanthropic influence of Vince and Barbara Dooley on the UGA community.
T. Rogers Wade, alongside his late wife Marcia, has been a significant benefactor and supporter of UGA Libraries. Their contributions include an endowment that facilitates experiential, research-oriented learning within the special collections libraries. Additionally, Wade’s long-standing role on the Richard B. Russell Foundation Board of Trustees underscores his commitment to supporting the Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, among other UGA projects.
In honor of the award, the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Building has dedicated a meeting room to the memory of Rogers and Marcia Wade. This dedication was highlighted in a December 1st ceremony attended by UGA President Jere W. Morehead, Barbara Dooley, former Governor Nathan Deal, and the Wades’ family and friends, all of whom gathered to acknowledge the couple’s profound impact on the university and the broader community.
