Themed Art Exhibition to Showcase Student Creativity
The Lyndon House Arts Center is set to host an engaging art exhibition featuring the work of students from the Clarke County School District. This much-anticipated event, known as the biennial Clarke County School District Student Art Exhibition, promises to captivate attendees with its theme, “Rooted.”
Scheduled to run from October 1, 2026, to January 23, 2027, “Rooted” invites artistic interpretations of what it means to be anchored or grounded. The exhibition encourages both artists and viewers to explore concepts such as plant systems, family heritage, community, and historical roots.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Tuesday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature live performances by the Cedar Shoals Orchestra and Clarke Central Orchestra, adding a musical dimension to the visual experience.
Visitors to the exhibition can also take home a complimentary catalog documenting all student artworks, available while supplies last. The Lyndon House Arts Center welcomes everyone to enjoy these exhibitions without any charge during its regular gallery hours. Visit the center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
