Michigan Stadium will transform into a hub of health and wellness activities for University of Michigan employees this September. The renowned venue, home to many sporting memories, will instead host a different kind of event aimed at nourishing the body and mind.
“Be Well in the Big House,” a complimentary event organized by MHealthy, is set for Thursday, Sept. 17, from 3 to 6:15 p.m. This gathering invites U-M faculty and staff to engage in various wellness activities in one of the university’s most celebrated settings.

The day’s agenda aligns with the university’s Look to Michigan theme, specifically its focus on Human Health and Well-being. Attendees can anticipate engaging activities both on the iconic field and around the concourse.
On-field Activities
The event will feature five 30-minute group activities on the field, catering to all fitness levels and requiring no equipment. Due to limited space, early registration is advised, with each participant allowed to register for only one session.
Afternoon schedule:
3:10 p.m. – Football skills and thrills
3:55 p.m. – Zumba
4:40 p.m. – Zumba
5:25 p.m. – Yoga
6:10 p.m. – Yoga
Concourse Activities
Beyond the field, numerous activities will be available around the concourse, with no registration needed:
- Cardio drumming: a low-impact, high-energy exercise to boost metabolism
- Wheelchair Ultimate: an inclusive twist on Ultimate Frisbee led by the U-M Adaptive Sport & Fitness team
- Farmers market
- Interactive health and well-being booths
- Community Art project sponsored by Arts Rx
- Flu shots (bring health insurance card to avoid out-of-pocket expenses)
- Medication take-back location, sponsored by U-M College of Pharmacy
- Maize and Blue Cupboard donation drop-off: Support Hunger Action Month by donating non-perishable food items or making monetary contributions.
