CCSD opens applications for 2026-27 VILLA Leadership Academy

Clarke County Invites Residents to Join the 2026-27 VILLA Program

Residents of Clarke County have a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of local education through the Volunteer Instructional Leadership Learning Academy (VILLA). This initiative by the Clarke County School District aims to foster community engagement by offering a closer look into the workings of the district.

The academy is open to all residents of Clarke County and will consist of seven monthly sessions starting in September. Attendees will gain insights into district operations, explore the responsibilities of Board of Education members, and learn about the district’s goals and initiatives.

Participants will also benefit from school and district office tours, engage in discussions with school leaders and board members, and have the chance to attend a Board of Education meeting.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on August 31 at bit.ly/CCSDVILLA. The program is limited to 40 participants, and those who have previously attended VILLA are not eligible to apply again.

Evening sessions will primarily take place at the district office, with a special daytime school tour planned for March. Successful applicants will be informed of their selection by September 4.
