Cedar Shoals High School Honored for Boosting College Access
In a significant achievement for educational advancement, Cedar Shoals High School has been celebrated for its exceptional efforts in guiding students toward higher education pathways. Recognized as a 2025 School of Excellence by the ACT’s American College Application Campaign, Cedar Shoals stands among 26 high schools nationwide and proudly represents Georgia as the sole recipient.
The recognition highlights the school’s dedication to increasing college access for first-generation students and those from under-resourced communities. Cedar Shoals High School’s commitment has resulted in 235 students completing one or more college applications, with 90 students submitting three or more. Furthermore, 130 students took proactive steps by applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
