Opportunity Opens for Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections Seat
The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government is on the hunt for residents eager to fill a position on the local Board of Elections, with the term set to conclude on December 31, 2028. This opportunity is open to any resident of Athens-Clarke County, but time is of the essence, as the deadline for applications is Friday, September 11.
Interested individuals can access application forms online at www.accgov.com/boards or by visiting the Clerk of Commission’s Office located in Room 204 of City Hall at 301 College Avenue.
The Mayor and Commission plan to conduct interviews with applicants on Monday, September 21, during both the afternoon and evening. Candidates who cannot attend on this date should indicate their unavailability on their application forms. Those chosen for interviews will receive further information regarding the timing and location.
The appointment decision is anticipated to take place at the commission’s regular session on Tuesday, October 6.
