Guilford County Boosts Local Economy with New Incentives for HVAC Company Expansion
In a significant move set to bolster local economic growth, Guilford County has sanctioned a financial incentives package aimed at expanding a Greensboro-based HVAC company’s operations. This initiative is poised to enhance the region’s business landscape.
Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. plans to invest $13.5 million to upgrade a facility located on Triad Center Drive. The Guilford County Board of Commissioners has given a unanimous nod to over $196,000 in incentives for the project, as confirmed on Thursday.
Though Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. currently operates its largest facilities in Charlotte and South Carolina, this development signals a potential shift. CEO Jim Bingham stated, “This incentive and this investment, this commitment, will allow us to build our largest campus right here at home in Greensboro.”
The expansion is anticipated to create 131 new job opportunities in Greensboro by the end of 2030. These positions will include mid-level managers, sales staff, and support workers, with an average salary exceeding $77,000.
