Coley Home to Create 45 Jobs, Invest $9M in Catawba County Expansion

Governor Josh Stein announced that Coley Home, a furniture manufacturer, will bring 45 new jobs to Catawba County, North Carolina. The expansion involves a $9 million investment in a new manufacturing facility in Claremont. This development is expected to boost the region’s economy and enhance the state’s reputation as a leading furniture production hub. Coley Home’s growth reflects North Carolina’s skilled workforce and robust manufacturing capabilities.

Founded in 2019, Coley Home specializes in high-quality custom home furnishings. The company’s expansion will add 75,000 square feet to its operations, including a showroom and office space. This facility will help meet market demand and showcase the company’s diverse product offerings. The average salary for the new positions will be $61,911, surpassing Catawba County’s average wage. The project is supported by a $100,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund, contingent on job creation and investment targets.

State officials, including N.C. Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley, emphasized the strength of North Carolina’s furniture workforce. With over 850 manufacturers, the state benefits from a well-established supply chain and workforce training programs. Local leaders, such as N.C. Senator Mark Hollo, expressed enthusiasm for the economic impact of Coley Home’s expansion.
