Environmental Air Systems Expands Operations to Asheboro

In a significant move to boost local employment, High Point’s Environmental Air Systems LLC is setting its sights on Asheboro for its next big project. The expansion is anticipated to bring 300 new jobs to Randolph County, according to a statement from Governor Josh Stein’s office.

The company, commonly referred to as EAS, is making a substantial investment of $20 million into creating a new 300,000-square-foot facility in Asheboro. This development is not just about infrastructure growth but also promises to have a significant economic impact, with the new positions expected to generate an annual payroll exceeding $16 million.

The state’s Economic Investment Committee has endorsed this expansion by approving a Job Development Investment Grant. This agreement opens the door for EAS to potentially receive up to $3.2 million in reimbursements over a period of 12 years, supporting the company’s growth and investment in the region.
