Piedmont Triad International Airport Launches Essential Donation Drive for Unpaid Federal Workers

Amid the ongoing government shutdown, Piedmont Triad International Airport is stepping up to support federal employees who are missing their paychecks. This initiative underscores the community’s effort to aid those affected by the shutdown.

The airport is organizing a five-day donation drive aimed at assisting TSA officers and air traffic controllers. These federal employees have been working without pay since October 1, highlighting the urgent need for community support.

Community members are encouraged to contribute by dropping off non-perishable food items, toiletries, and baby supplies. Donations can be made daily between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Airport Authority office. This drive is scheduled to commence on Monday, November 3.
