The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has confirmed the tragic discovery of 77-year-old Lillie Mae Wade, who had been reported missing over the weekend. Wade’s body was located on Monday near Dairy Pak Road, marking the end of an extensive search effort.

The operation to find Ms. Wade included aerial support, K-9 teams, and collaboration with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. The search, which involved significant resources and community involvement, concluded at approximately 1:30 pm after her remains were discovered.
