Cardon Rehabilitation and Medical Equipment, celebrating its 50th anniversary, will launch a 60,000-square-foot facility in Kinston to support its growing U.S. customer base. CEO Mardig Sevadijian expressed excitement about establishing the U.S. headquarters in North Carolina, aiming to scale production and create a supportive workplace culture. The average salary for the new positions is expected to be $48,965, comparable to Lenoir County’s average wage, potentially impacting the regional payroll by over $979,000 annually.
The expansion is supported by a $60,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which aids local governments in attracting economic investments. To qualify for payment, Cardon must meet specific job creation and capital investment targets, with local government participation required.
