Forsyth County Sheriff to Resume Duties After Health Scare

Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough Jr. of Forsyth County is preparing to return to his official duties on Monday. This comes shortly after he underwent significant surgery to address a heart artery blockage.

In July, Kimbrough’s routine medical examination revealed elevated cholesterol levels. Consequently, his physician recommended an MRI, leading to the discovery of a severe arterial blockage.

Although Kimbrough maintains a lifestyle marked by activity and health consciousness, he acknowledges a prior recommendation to begin medication—a suggestion he now regrets not following sooner.

“It has given me a whole new perspective on life,” Kimbrough reflects. “It has made me realize that while I know a lot of things, there are some things that I do not know. Because everyone won’t be as fortunate or lucky, or blessed as I was, with the same results.”

Feeling optimistic about his recovery, Kimbrough expresses eagerness to resume his responsibilities following what he describes as a challenging yet enlightening experience.
