CCSD Hosts Youth Scientist Fair for Grades K-5 on April 19

Young minds in Clarke County are gearing up for a day of scientific exploration and friendly competition. The Clarke County School District (CCSD) is preparing to host its annual Youth Scientist Fair, an event designed to inspire and engage students in the wonders of science.

Scheduled for April 19, the event will take place at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary, bringing together students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Activities kick off with the Science Olympiad Competitions at 8:30 a.m., followed by an open viewing of science projects starting at 10:30 a.m. The day will culminate with an award ceremony at 11:30 a.m.

Participants in the Youth Scientist Fair will showcase their talents in various fields, including Life Science, Physical Science, and Engineering. This event offers a platform for students to present their innovative projects and compete with peers in a constructive environment.

To ensure participation, students must deliver their Science Fair, Art Exhibition, and Clarke Invents Projects to Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School on April 18, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., the day before the fair.
