The Grounds Development Unveils Initial Retailers, Including Dining and Fitness Options
The highly anticipated mixed-use project near Wake Forest University, known as The Grounds, has revealed its first wave of retail tenants. This development promises to bring a diverse range of dining and lifestyle options to the area.
Among the announced businesses are three distinctive restaurants: The Jimmy, which will offer Mediterranean cuisine; Fieldhouse Tavern, a sports bar that emphasizes a “food-forward” approach; and Bagels & Co., providing a casual dining option. These eateries aim to cater to a variety of tastes and dining preferences.
In addition to the culinary offerings, The Grounds will also welcome TREMBLE, a Pilates studio, and Allegacy Financial, adding a fitness and financial service component to the development.
The retail and dining village is set to occupy 42,000 square feet and is part of a broader $250 million initial phase that also includes office spaces and residential units. The opening is slated for fall 2027, with officials indicating that further retail announcements are expected early next year.
