Republican Candidate Recalls Harrowing Plane Emergency in Wisconsin
In a dramatic turn of events, U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany faced an unexpected challenge when the plane he was traveling in required an emergency landing in a Wisconsin lake. This incident unfolded on Saturday night as Tiffany was returning from a political event.
The aircraft, a single-engine, four-seat Bonanza, experienced a power loss while approaching the Wausau Downtown Airport, prompting the pilot to execute an emergency landing in Lake Wausau. Both Tiffany, a Republican gubernatorial candidate, and the pilot safely exited the sinking plane and swam to a shallow area, where they awaited rescue.
