Clarke County School Board Gathers for Insightful Retreat
This week, Clarke County School Board members convened for a retreat and a public assembly, aiming to foster collaboration and strategize for the future. The fall retreat, held on Wednesday afternoon, brought together both current and new members of the board.
The agenda for the retreat included a comprehensive self-assessment review and the formulation of an action plan. The sessions are designed to refine board operations and ensure alignment with the district’s objectives and strategic plans.
Dr. Cyndee Perdue Moore, serving as the Chief Communications and Engagement Officer, highlighted the significance of these meetings. “To kind of take a look at what they’ve been doing, what they plan to do, review their norms, review our strategic plan and just get an update and pulse check of the district,” Perdue Moore said. “And also, to work together to decide how to best move forward on things.”
These retreats are a biannual tradition for the board, providing a platform for reflection and planning without the necessity of formal voting.
