Clarke County School District Opens Pre-K Enrollment
Parents in Clarke County are gearing up for the upcoming school year as the Clarke County School District (CCSD) announces the opening of its online pre-k lottery registration. The registration window for new students will be open from February 7 to February 21.
Eligibility for enrollment requires that students must be at least four years old by September 1 to enter pre-k, and five years old by the same date to start kindergarten. Proper documentation is essential for the registration process.
Monica Drayton, who serves as the pre-K Registrar and Data Specialist at CCSD, is responsible for overseeing the registration process. She outlines the necessary documents needed for enrollment.
“The requirements as far as to register for pre-k each family, you would have to have a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a copy of their social security card, the parent ID, and two proofs of residence,” Drayton explained.
She further detailed, “Which can typically be a lease, a mortgage statement, utility bills, we don’t accept cell phone bills, but you can use a trash bill also the child’s most current immunization or if you go to the doctor’s office it’s called the 3231.”
