Former Employee Arrested for Alleged Fraudulent Activity in Athens-Clarke County
A former employee of the local Tag Office in Athens-Clarke County has been taken into custody following a probe into suspected fraudulent activities. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have charged Lilia Lozano, 54, a resident of Athens, after securing warrants related to the case. Lozano was apprehended on Tuesday, August 18, facing multiple charges. These include felony theft by taking, along with 10 counts each of second-degree forgery, identity fraud, and making false statements.
