Athens Parent Wellbeing Downsizing, Relocating to Shared Office Space

Changes ahead for nonprofit Athens Parent Wellbeing

Major Transition for Athens Parent Wellbeing Nonprofit

Athens Parent Wellbeing, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the mental health needs of parents and caregivers in northeast Georgia, is undergoing a notable transformation. With significant changes on the horizon, the organization is adapting to new challenges by closing its thrift store, ReBlossom, and relocating its staff members.

Monira Silk, the Executive Director, has shared that the organization is dealing with difficulties related to their current location and financial constraints. “So, we decided to rent a little space in a shared office complex called Athens Kids Collective and basically bunk with them so that we could afford to have a space for our support groups and then also start embedding our other groups and classes within the community,” Silk explained.

The organization aims to maintain its commitment to providing free resources for families in collaboration with other local groups. Among the resources offered are clothing, essential equipment, and diapers through the Athens Area Diaper Bank. Additionally, they will be co-hosting play dates to further support the community.
