Greensboro Residents Invited to Participate in Unique Portrait Project
Community members in Greensboro have an exciting opportunity to be part of a special project at the Greensboro History Museum. The ONE by ONE Community Portrait initiative invites individuals and groups to have their portraits taken by renowned photographer Tom Styrkowicz, who has collaborated with art museums nationwide on similar projects.
This initiative is set to produce a striking photo mosaic to be displayed at the museum. Participants will not only contribute to this artistic display but will also receive a complimentary copy of their portrait to keep.
Portrait sessions are scheduled from Wednesday, July 8, through Friday, July 10, between 2 and 6 p.m. The museum, conveniently located in Downtown Greensboro’s Cultural District, will serve as the backdrop for this creative endeavor.
This project is a component of Guilford County’s America 250 programming, a series of events celebrating the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial.
